My Story
Feeling Free, Wild & Fierce with Ease & Playfulness in all that I do defines my True North
After finishing high school, I travelled for a year through Australia and New Zealand, while mostly working on farms. During this year, I discovered my love for nature and farming and so when I was back in The Netherlands, I followed that call and graduated 4 years later as an Agricultural Engineer.
During my studies it turned out, this is what was planned for me, as I met my husband in South Africa while I was there for an internship at Addo Elephant National Park.
After my studies, we got married in The Netherlands and lived there until June 2012, when Life brought us an opportunity to start our own farm in South Africa! Even though I had been working as a Life and Work Coach for 7 years already - a career switch I made in 2005 - the farm life still called.
Together with our 15-month-old son and pregnant with my first daughter, we embarked on this exciting new adventure. About 2 years later we were blessed with another daughter but the business was taking strain and unfortunately, we faced bankruptcy in 2015. With three very young children and huge financial strain, while working around the clock to provide for our family, my husband and I learned so much about what it takes to keep your marriage strong and flourishing. At the same time, it unleashed a deep passion and creativity in me to support our children in becoming confident, thriving and emotionally balanced children, no matter what the circumstances are.
These years of hardship have been the years where the diamonds of wisdom have been shaped, which I share now lovingly with other parents and couples so they can thrive too.
When I was diagnosed with 2 tumours in my breast at the young age of 42, Life suddenly signed me up for an "advanced course"! This was after I suddenly had lost my father, Covid and a near closure of my Guesthouse. Yet again, in deep Trust and Faith, diamonds of wisdom were created for our whole family and I healed completely without chemos or radiation.
About a year after my healing, just when you think you have "every right" for a quiet year... (haha don't get fooled), we found out that we had to move away from the farm where we lived back then. We had renovated this house with lots of love and effort, it was the home our children knew and I had my Guesthouse there. Only when we were able to make the inner shifts and surrender to "Let go and Let God", we experienced how Divinely this all was planned!
We are now living in one of the most sought-after holiday areas, on a 2500ha farm, in a stunning old well well-maintained and spacious farmhouse, while being less than a 15-minute drive away from good schools, shops, medical facilities and the ocean! And the most amazing part of it all...I had written it all down months before even having any knowledge about the upcoming change, including the name of the farm!
All these experiences have shaped and prepared me to share these Diamonds of Wisdom, The Life Hacks and Love-Life-More Tools with you! I am passionate about helping people unclutter their hearts and lives from all that holds them back, so they can connect to the one Energy that matters: Love... (and perhaps that is why I had to marry my husband and become a Love-More! )
